Carl joined CEI-PEA after 32 successful years in the New York City public school system. As Dean of the Beta School for eleven years, Carl ensured that the most at-risk youth received the education and support services they needed to succeed. When Carl became the Director of Attendance for New York City’s District 4, he implemented innovative programs that resulted in improved attendance throughout the district. As Special Assistant to the Superintendent, Carl took on various responsibilities including plan management, securing funding for the upgrading of schools and school libraries, and the facilitation of communication with the community, including local police precincts.
