Walter serves as CEI-PEA’s Director of Education. Walter joins us after thirty-seven years of service in New York City. He brings a diversified teaching background, which includes experience at elementary, middle and high school levels. In addition, Walter has over two and a half decades of educational leadership in New York City. He has served as a middle school dean and an assistant principal, as the Director of Local 3’s Evening Apprenticeship Program and as the principal of a successful Title I K-6 school. The school was honored for its success for all students during President Clinton’s visit there in June of 2000. More recently, Walter has served as the Director of School Improvement and as Superintendent of District 29, and as a Local Instructional Superintendent in District 26.
